I love new beginnings. A New Year, despite it’s frigid and barren setting, is so full of hope and promise. I have new energy and am anxious to get rid of, clear out, and make way for new things to happen. It is a time to make changes and head new directions. I am excited to see what 2014 will hold!
ABOUT THE ART:
This tree is part of a four season set of trees commissioned by a dear customer and friend Shirley, hence I call these trees “Shirley’s trees”. They are mixed media paint and collage. I enjoy building layer upon layer of paint and papers, adding stenciling, spray inks, and words until the piece is complete. To see the rest of the seasons, visit the art gallery.
