Frida Kahlo

With Day of the Dead soon approaching, it seemed appropriate to pay a little tribute to an artist from Mexico, and who better than Frida?

This is a simple little mixed media portrait done on a 6 x 6 inch chunky canvas. It can sit on a shelf or hang on a wall.

I have been working hard on my portraits, and am just getting brave enough to attempt making them actually look like someone specific!
