Autumn Blaze

I don’t work a lot in oranges, but I love the colors in this piece!  I couldn’t capture the gold sheen that highlights the leaves in the foreground. There are many layers of papers and paints.  The sky is Citra Solv altered papers and sheet music with some scribbled words about fall beauty.

I like the desolate look of the tree against an almost winterish sky.  Yet the land holds the promise of the new life that will return in the leaves lying dormant below.

I also want to give a big THANK YOU! to Dillons Nature Center where I have had art hanging the last couple of months, and THANK YOU! to all of you who purchased art!

Hope you enjoy a blazingly beautiful day!
