In From the Field

posted in: ABOUT THE ART, EVENTS | 2

Six (or is it seven?) years ago today one of my children got married.  She went out and gathered fresh wild sunflowers for us to make into bouquets, corsages, and decorations.  “In From the Field” is what our home looked like during the preparation.  Sunflowers everywhere, in every available pot and vessel!  The wedding turned out beautiful, and the wild (and free!) sunflowers were a special touch.

“In From the Field” is on 9 x 12 paper, matted and framed under glass.  It is a part of my “Explorations” solo art show which runs through Sept. 29.  Go to Larksfield Place in Wichita if you would like to see this and many other pieces of my art!

I am so sorry Marita, this piece had already sold before I got it posted here! I would be happy to do a similar piece as a commission, or you can just keep watching for more sunflowers! Nice to know our connection through Kathy!
