Need an emergency bit of wrapping for those gift cards, or cash gifts, or pretty little somethings?
I did, so I whipped up these from some of my unused gelli plate experiments and from my abundant supply of toilet paper tubes.
For the envelopes, I gave the painted paper a couple coats of Modge Podge, and painted the back side. I folded the pieces roughly into thirds and cut the flap into an interesting design. I machine stitched the sides together, and the added some stick on Velcro tabs to hold them closed.
Now for the toilet paper tubes. I first covered them with book pages, then painted them with the leftover paint on my palette from another project. On one I added an alcohol spray over a stencil. That’s it! Simply push down on the edges to make a homegrown pillow box perfect for tiny gifts like jewelry.
Happy Gift Wrapping!
