Did some freewriting on my elephant page about reaching for what seems impossible. My lines go every which way, making it pretty hard to read..but the goal is in the writing, not the reading!
Included some favorite photos of the week’s big snowstorm. Used some Citra Solv pages for the background. (See more about Citra Solv here.) I added snowflakes with a white Sharpie water based paint pen.
Guess its the season for hearts and love. I combined one of my new magazine cut out stencils with my new heart stamp to make this “don’t walk away from love” page. The background was made with a gelli plate.
This woman was influenced by one of Tamara Laporte’s Life Book 2014 lessons, but instead of beautifully painted hair, I did some writing inspired by listening to Julia Cameron while I worked this week!
This whimsical lady was inspired by another Life Book 2014 lesson, this one by Marieke Blokland who makes these really fun faces with cotton candy hair. The writing is all about how all artists are the sum total of the influences around them, and the other artists who influence me. I am learning so much these days!
I did this background in colors that I don’t normally use, and I love it! I haven’t decided what else to do with it, so it may sit for awhile.
And finally, another background. Made by cleaning off the stencils I used on a different project. I really like the effect.I think I might try a watercolor wash on top of it and see what happens!
What have you been doing in your journal this week?
