This page has been evolving for awhile, but I think it is finally done now. I have been getting a little more comfortable with using my own script handwriting on pages. It is both the quickest, and most personal method of lettering. The leaping dancer is a magazine cutout that I painted over.
I like the kind of tribal look that emerged on this page. I only had a few colors of paint handy, and my trusted water based white Sharpie paint pen. The writing was all done with my favorite black Scarlet Lime pen.
This page has a bit of a Mary Engelbreit feel to it. I got some new Golden brand open black paint, and love its intensity. The flowers and raindrops are done with Neocolor II crayons and white water based Sharpie paint pens. I used a Signo white uniball pen for the writing.
Have you been art journaling this week? I would love to see what you are up to!

Oh, how I wish I had the extensive art supplies on hand like you do! I love the third page… There is something very satisfying about bright colors on a pure black background. I don’t know what it is… but I love it!
