The months seem to go by so fast! It is already time again for the Wichita Final Friday art crawl! This is a great opportunity to visit area shops and galleries that remain open for the evening, often offering live music, refreshments, and featuring some great local art.
Last month I was privileged to be at The Workroom, but tonight I will be hanging out back at my home gallery, Tessera Fine Art Gallery at 412 E. Douglas. (Next door to Mead’s Corner Coffee Shop, a great supper stop on your art walk!)
I have had art hanging at Tessera for just a bit short of a year now, and have really enjoyed my time there. Rubbing shoulders with the many very talented artists there has helped me grow and develop in my own artwork. The classroom there has also provided a great place for monthly workshops on mixed media techniques that we use and practice in our art journals.
This is not a great photo, but my current wall holds some pieces that I am really happy with. Next week I will be swapping at least a portion of it out for some new works, so stop by and take a look before it all changes!
I have also added some fun new items to what I call the gift shop area up front. If you haven’t taken a look at all the fun things up there, you need to! Unique jewelry, steampunk creations, and all kinds of giftables.
And this month at Tessera, there will be some special displays like the Art for Arthritis works, and Zentangle creations! Looks like it will be a lovely evening!
