Last week I taught a “Tangible Textures” Workshop where we made these textured, dimensional canvases. We achieved both visible and tangible texture with surface materials like corrugated cardboard and lace, with mediums like modeling paste through stencils, and by adding in elements like hardware, game pieces, and old jewelry.
I didn’t do a good job taking pictures, but you can see some of the works in progress…
it was fun to watch the transformation!
