“I am going to try to pay attention to the spring. I am going to look around at all the flowers, and look up at the hectic trees. I am going to close my eyes and listen”. Anne Lamott
This is the work in progress shot of the demo piece I did during a recent fingerpainted flowers workshop. There is something so freeing about working entirely with my fingers! It keeps me loose and relaxed while I am creating. I would love to just sit and make dozens of these!
I think I will call this one “Welcome Spring” and be mindful of just enjoying the creative process, to look at the flowers and close my eyes and listen!
Check out all these great pieces by class participants!
High flow paint by Golden is the secret ingredient in these, but I also make my own by mixing Golden fluid paints with airbrush medium in a roughly 1:1 ratio. We also used latex house paint as well as heavy body paint to add some texture.
