“Potful of Blessings” is one of my drippy finger painted flowers on an 11 x 14 cradled wood panel. It has bits of paper just barely peeking through, and textured acrylic flowers in a vase on top. I love doing these loose and sloppy flowers using just my fingers. They are such handy tools!
I painted this piece and “Rose Stack” as a demo during a Final Friday Art Crawl at Tessera Fine Art Gallery. I was giving potential participants an idea what was in store for them in a couple of workshops that I taught in March and April.
I love how the class florals turned out! It was a stretch for some to paint with their fingers, but they were troopers and pulled it off in style!
(“Rose Stack” has sold, but “Potful of Blessings” is still available at Botanica in Wichita.)
