This last weekend I taught a fiber art workshop at Tessera Fine Art Gallery in Wichita. I had predyed bundles of fabric using mixes of purchased and natural dyes. I had also rusted some of the fabrics first using my rusting plates. Each participant got a bundle of lovely fabrics to start creating with.
We focused alot on composition as we arranged and rearranged our lovely bits and pieces.
I was so impressed by all the wonderfully creative designs that emerged! Then we stitched it all together, using whatever stitches would accent the piece.
I especially liked all of the happy faces at the end of the day!
Here is my example piece:
Hope you have a great weekend!
