“Overgrown”
I am very excited to have this piece chosen to participate in the Arts Council juried show at City Arts this year. I am also pleased with the framing job my husband did on this one, using a cool old frame that we had found at a garage sale. He had to do quite abit of work undoing the photograph that had been in the frame, and putting my piece in. But the frame is beautiful, and I think it was worth his effort.
The opening reception is tonight from 6 to 8pm and I am looking forward to taking a look at all of the art that will be there.
I will also be taking some of my newly painted globes to Tessera Fine Art Gallery, as well as examples for upcoming workshops. Tomorrow will be my Eco Dye workshop, and coming up in November will be ATC coins workshop, and Painted Papers back to back with Collage and Paint.Stop by the gallery to purchase your own little inexpensive tube of natural dye materials.
I have also been keeping up pretty well with my inktober sketches, though they are all very quick sketches. I do like the discipline of drawing at least a little every single day. It has been a busy month, but I have still been able to work in a little drawing time, and I am getting more comfortable with Procreate. Double win! Here are the latest batch of inktober drawings.

What a beautiful job your husband did with the framing! Great find to begin with…and a cool piece of art. Good luck.
