I made a bunch of new art over the holidays, and would like to share some of it with you today. For those of you who are local, there are a couple of art receptions that I will be at this week. The first is for a solo show at the Derby Public Library called “Layers”. It will be Thursday evening (Jan 23) from 6:30-7:30pm. I would love to visit with you there! Here are a few of the new works you will see: (Click the link for more information on each piece)
I am also really looking forward to the “Kansas Through the Eyes of the Artist” show at Carriage Factory Gallery in Newton on Saturday, Jan 25. There will be many artists represented at this show, and it is always so fun to see the variety of work celebrating our state. Here are the pieces I have in the show, which is up through March 20:
Hope you can make it to one or both of these shows! You can also see my current works from the comfort of your own home using Artwork Archive.
For those of you participating in Project Seeing 2020, here are the prompts for the week:
- Jan 20 – I have a dream
- Jan 21 – imagine
- Jan 22 – artwork
- Jan 23 – people
- Jan 24 – patterns
- Jan 25 – motto
