Landscapes and Trees with Mixed Media Oct 21
$70.00
We will be using a variety of media, including soft pastels, oil pastels, paper, and acrylic paint to explore composition and color while making landscapes. We will also spend considerable time focusing on creating convincing representational abstract trees that are interesting and inviting. Included will be tips for taking landscape from ho hum to aha!
All materials will be provided, but if you prefer to work in your own art journal, that is fine!

MAY 10 – FINGER PAINTED FLOWERS PLUS
A super fun workshop that allows us to loosen up by finger painting about 95% of the piece! We use various media, but mainly acrylic paint, as well as some paper, to compose and carry out a floral still life.
February 22 – Creative Jumpstart
Work in a series by turning a large blank sheet into a series of 6 x 6 inch mixed media artworks, using an intuitive process of collage and paint.

Whether traveling abroad, or hanging out in our own neighborhood, we get so much more out of our journey through life when we take time to see and document the world we live in. Work in the supplied booklet style journal, or bring your own to record a past journey, or prep for a future adventure. We will look at lots of inspiration, and create flips, flaps, pockets and more.

JUNE 11- 14 – A MEDITERRANEAN ADVENTURE
Join us for four immersive days of mixed media art making fun inspired by the islands of the Mediterranean. We will be exploring unique mixed media techniques and materials to create faux ceramic tiles, fish prints, ancient pottery and more. Stories from past and present Cyprus, Crete, Sicily and more will inspire our art while we create. A focus will be on making elements that can be combined in different ways to make seperate pieces. Work in your own journal or on supplied materials to create a cache portfolio full of fun bits.
