MARCH 7 – COLOR THEORY/GOUACHE

This workshop will explore the style of Charlotte Salomon, Gabriele Munter, Marc Chagall and more, as we learn how to use gouache paint and mix colors to create our own custom palettes. The focus will be on creating loose and intuitive works with the freedom of being able to mix our own colors.

JULY 15-18 – ALL THINGS GEL PLATE PRINTING
This four day class is for the beginning gel plant printer as well as the more experienced. We will be covering not only the basics, but also all those fun, experimental, and mixed media approaches. We will use stencils, found tools, and a variety of media. We will make monoprints, reverse painting, image transfer and even collage on the gel plate. We will be creating not only lovely papers, but also finished artworks.

APRIL 25 – CONTEMPORARY COLLAGE
In this workshop we will examine the different types of collage and take a turn creating in each. We will also take a look at the merits of different types of collage papers, and how to use them. We will be visiting both representational and abstract collage.

Explore the history and elements of the Art Nouveau movement while using mixed media to create your own frameable artwork.
