1 Thessalonians 5:15

I got a little more intricate than usual with this week’s coloring page.  Not only did I do two versions with a simple one and then more detail added:

…but I also got a little more fancy while coloring mine by using masking fluid to add detail.

I used it in a 20 gauge needle nosed bottle and applied it in the background before adding watercolor.  While that was drying, I carefully added a first coat of watercolor to the leaves.

Then I did more masking fluid on top of the watercolor to make the veins in the leaves. Once that was dry, I added more watercolor until I was happy with the results… or was out of goof off time!

So which version will you use?  Do you like your coloring pages to be simple with more room for you to play with your own designs, or do you like them to be more complex?

Feel free to download and color the above pages!

I’m going to print out and play with both. I’d never heard of masking fluid before but it sounds very interesting. I’ve only ever used colored pencils or pens when rubber stamping or in my coloring books. Then it’s more of just me coloring in between the lines….just an adult coloring book. I did buy some watercolor pencils. Not sure how they work but I’m going to try them. I’ve never used regular watercolors.
Your stuff is always so beautiful.

    Thanks for the pages!

Thank you Chris! I think you will love the watercolor pencils. They give the look of watercolor with the ease and convenience of colored pencils. Happy coloring!

Thanks for the coloring pages! I’m using them to help my kids memorize this verse for the week.
