I just got through making a new batch of leather cuffs this week. These are fun to make because each one is a unique work of art. I use a lot of re-purposed materials in these which makes each one a challenge to put together!
First I cut the straps out of salvage leather or old belts. Once in awhile I use a purchased cuff blank as well. They get snaps put on and the plainest ones get a paint job with my Angelus Leather Paints.
Then I embellish with treasures from my stash.
Eventually I end up with a pile of lovely cuffs that head off to various stores and shows.
At only $15, these make a great affordable and unique gift for both guys and gals. My cuffs can currently be found at Tessera Fine Art Gallery, City Arts Boutique, and Arlington Market.
