I have been sitting on this for awhile until I had the images to share with you, but back in February or so I was approached by Patti Mann about liscensing some of my artwork to her for becoming part of her line of high end needlepoint patterns. I have known about needlepoint for years, but these are nothing like the old needlepoint kits that were available when I was a kid. These are hand painted patterns that leave room to the artistic discretion of each needlepoint artist to create patterns and texture with various sorts of fibers.
Above is my original “Forest Queen” artwork, below is the needlepoint adaptation.
This and a number of other designs will make their debut at The Spring Needlepoint Show in Orlando this weekend. Here are a few more of the nineteen total designs from my art that will be available:
The designs are hand-painted on fine Zweigart needlepoint canvas and are available through fine needlepoint shops nation-wide. If you are interested in ordering, contact Patti Mann at pattimann@cox.net and she will help you out!
How about you? Are you a needlepointer? Seeing these patterns and all the wonderful fibers that are available now almost makes me want to take up needlepoint… but I am going to resist (at least for now) and focus on all my other projects in waiting.
