Pondering

“Pondering”

While I was working on this piece I was thinking about a dear, owl loving friend who I had just learned was going through an extremely difficult trial. I think my feelings showed up in the face of the owl, who seems just a bit pensive. Art is often a way to process, express, ponder, and contemplate. There is almost always something about each piece that is deeper than what meets the eye. A little heart and soul inexplicably finds its way into any artist’s work. Most often I am surprised to see the joy that shows up…a sure reflection of how much I have enjoyed the artistic process, as well as the many blessings that I have been granted in my life!
