Just thought I would share some random bits about what I have been up to recently, and some fun plans coming up!
Last weekend we loaded up Buster (our shuttle bus waiting to be converted to an rv/art bus) and participated in the Aaron Douglas Art Fair in Topeka, Kansas, and though we got rained out and had to pack up early, it was a nice show. Thank you to all who came by my booth, it was fun visiting with some old friends, and making some new ones! There is also something I really enjoy about actually meeting the people who give my art a new home! Some of the pieces that I sent off to new homes:
“Short Stack”
“Bison’s Bounty”
“The Little Bird That Could”
“Strawberry Field”
“Salt” and “Pepper”
These are all now available as prints in my etsy shop. Just use the choose your own print listing, and include the name of the piece in the notes as you check out.
While in Topeka, we visited my brother and sister in law and were introduced to the German angora rabbits that they raise. Every three months, they shear their hair, which my sister in law then spins into yarn. Some of the yarn she dyes with natural dyes, but it is also beautiful in its natural color. It was so fascinating to see the whole process and to snuggle with the affectionate bunnies!
Looking ahead, I am excited about participating once again in Jake Parker’s Inktober challenge. The idea is to make one ink drawing a day for the month of October, following the prompts that he supplies. I am going to be a little loose with the rules this year. While I intend to follow the prompts, they may not all be ink drawings. I may do some paper cuts, or other expressions of the prompts. I am also planning to multi task a bit by completing at least some of the prompts in my “Project Seeing 2020” daily planner/journal that I am prepping for my own year long challenge next year! I am beyond excited about doing the Seeing 2020 challenge personally, and am hoping that some of you will join me here on the blog, or on instagram or facebook. But more on all that later…
And of course I am excited about some upcoming workshops! If you are on my newsletter list, you will be receiving an update on all the upcoming workshops within the next couple of days! You can also check out my event schedule here on my website to keep track of what is coming up! I am starting to schedule my 2020 workshops, so keep your eyes open, and let me know if there is something you would especially like to see!
Have a wonderful, creative week!

Saw your comments about spinning. This is what I like to do as well. My electric spinner bit the dust this year so I purchased a electric spinning wheel from down under made of beautiful wood.
Hope to do some spinning this winter . I so love your illumination of the Word of God. Your art work is so inspiring. Bless you in all that you do.
Sincerely,
Judith

How fun! That is one craft I have never done, but I sure admire the results! Thank you for your encouraging words!
