New Stencils on Board!

Judging by a rise in stencil sales, there are apparently a lot of people making art these days! That is a great thing for people to be doing with their extra time at home because there is nothing like a little art play to sooth jangled nerves! Stencils make art making super easy!

And because I have been doing some art play myself, I have been using my stencils quite a bit. And that always reminds me of MORE stencil designs I would like to play with! So I have created some new designs recently which are now available in my etsy shop. There are 40 designs to pick from, but check out these new ones!

Flower Garden was designed as a richly detailed stencil to create an over all intricate design. Available as a 12 x 12 inch stencil.

Brush strokes was created as a quick and easy way to add some mark making. These rows of brush strokes are something I do often in my art because I love the look, but they are time consuming! This stencil gives the look super quick! I tried it out on the gel plate, but I am most excited about this for the art journal!

I am also super excited about using my new Falling Leaves stencil. I can see sooo many uses for it, and I love the look it gave on the gel plate!

I have also been working for some time on a whole math and science series that I am really excited about. I was going to wait and release them as a whole batch… but I am too excited to wait! You will be able to recognize this series by their distinctive black label.

Math Class was my imagination of a mathematician scribbling away on a chalk board with formulas, geometry, and equations all overlapping each other! It has a bit of an industrial look as well I think. This stencil is technically a mask, meaning you are using the part that was cut out of the sheet.

I am super excited about using Polygonal in a bunch of art journal page ideas whirling in my head! It is available as a 6 or 12 inch stencil.

My Atomic Stencil, is also technically a mask. I am thinking of so many art journal ideas using this, and will be incorporating it into my artwork as well. I love the notion of this basic building block subtly hanging out within the images in my artwork.

And finally, version one of a stencil I have been working on for a long time, a very stylized DNA strand. My parents were geneticists, one of my daughters is a geneticist, and I simply have an interest and appreciation of genetics. Like the atom, I think it will be fun to include as some detail within a piece of art or in the art journal.

Which of these is your favorite?

What is your favorite way to use a stencil?

Can you think of other stencils you would like to see?
