Well, I have done it. I have officially become a Patreon Creator. If you aren’t familiar with that, it is an online site that works sort of like a subscription, where you can support an artist, and in turn you receive various bits of art as determined by each artist. I am looking at it as a way to connect more closely with all of you with a built in way to express my gratitude for all of your support and encouragement.
Of course whether you become a Patron or not, I want you all to know how much I appreciate you and you definitely fall high in my list of gratitudes for 2020. Not only have you supported me financially, but you have offered me encouragement, advice, prodded me when I need it, and become my friends. So, a great big THANK YOU to you!
I am letting you know about Patreon here on the brink of the holiday season for three reasons:
- There are loads of fun stuff that could be used not only in an art journal, but would also be perfect for your planner, so now is a great time to dive in as you prepare your planners for a new year.
- A Patreon subscription could be a great gift for someone on your list. Do you have an artist, or creator that you are shopping for?
- Community is more important than ever as we face the necessity of staying home and apart from each other. This is one small way to connect with others with similar interests.
I have set up tiers to choose from, so even for a small monthly commitment (can be cancelled at any time) you can participate and receive fun stuff as perks!
At the supporter level, for $3 a month you get one or more digital download, plus 10% off my etsy shop. The dowload might be from my artjournal or sketchbook, or something to use in your own art journal, planner, as a coloring page, etc. For November, the supporter level received a watercolor fall leaves digital collage sheet, and the 9 pages of digital prompt labels for 2021.
For the $6 a month Creator level, patrons receive everything at the previous level, plus a minimum of 4 digital download sheets. November patrons received all of this:
For only $9 a month, patrons receive ALL of the above PLUS a sticker and postcard in the mail, and get 15% off in my etsy shop instead of 10%. These were the November stickers:
An aesthete is an appreciator of art, so at this level ($15), in addition to all the previous goodies, patrons will receive at least one digital file of an art print.
My top tier is the maker at $20. In addition to all of the above, the maker gets a physical pack of select collage bits from my own collection mailed to them. I just ordered some special envelopes to mail this pack, so if you are a Maker, be watching for this envelope and know that your pack of creative fun has arrived!
Again, patron or not, thank you for all you do for me!
Hope you have a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving! Our family won’t be gathering, so that will be a first… but there is still so very much to be thankful for!
