Around the Art World in Four Days – July 24-27

This immersive workshop will be an exploration of PATTERN across six continents.  We will visit the work of artists from each part of the world and look at commonalities and differences of pattern across time and place. A number of techniques will be used as we create our own mixed media versions of what we learn.  Momi gami, collage, and chine colle’ are just a sample of the techniques to be covered.  Art projects will include abstract art and how to use that in representational art. We explore the place of pattern in whatever style of art we currently practice.

Participants will have the choice whether to work in an art journal, or to create wall art.  A supply list will be provided.

There will also be an optional lunch package offered that will follow the theme of our travels.
