Have you ever wanted to try printmaking but didn’t know where to start? Well this class is for beginners and intermediate printmakers alike!
First, we will use “DIY” screen-printing supplies that will allow you to make many more prints in the future! In the class, you will make one design that will be then printed onto a tote bag that you will be able to take home!
Next, we will make collagraphs to print on paper. These are a fun and creative way to make both finished pieces, and/or lovely papers to use in other projects.
Join us for four immersive days of mixed media art making fun inspired by the islands of the Mediterranean. We will be exploring unique mixed media techniques and materials to create faux ceramic tiles, fish prints, ancient pottery and more. Stories from past and present Cyprus, Crete, Sicily and more will inspire our art while we create. A focus will be on making elements that can be combined in different ways to make seperate pieces. Work in your own journal or on supplied materials to create a cache portfolio full of fun bits.
