I was recently honored with the Blogger Recognition Award awarded by Keri of Repurposing Junkie, a great blog about transforming ordinary things into something beautiful.  You should go check out some of her projects!  I also appreciate the frequent, encouraging comments she gives me on my own blog posts.  So appreciated!

When I started this blog almost two years ago, I was sooo intimidated!  My posts were few and far between because I felt like I needed to have something earth shattering to say.  But really all I want to do is share my own creative journey, humble as it may be.  Gradually I have gained a little more confidence in exposing my art and my thoughts for the world to see.

Like most things, the most important part of blogging is that you actually do it!  So, I keep showing up and sharing what is going on in my creative world.  My advice to anyone starting a blog or for that matter anything new…. just dare to show up, and keep showing up!

In turn, I have a nomination of my own to make!

Atop Serenity Hill is a wonderful site full of all kinds of creative activity.  Consie has regular posts on art journaling, mail art, bookmarks… and is also a face painter.

I know there are many other wonderful blogs out there, I just honestly don’t have as much blog reading time as I would like! I also ran into the issue that some of the ones I would have nominated have already received this award!  So for now, I have one honoree!

Here are the rules for this particular award:

-Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog. (check)

-Attach the award to the post. (check)

-Write a post to show off your award. (check)

-Give a brief story of how your blog started. (check)

-Give a piece of advice or two to new bloggers. (check)

-Select 15 other bloggers you want to give the award to. You cannot nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you.

-Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them. (check)
