Tight Knit Community

“Tight Knit Community” is collage and paint mixed media on an 18 x 24 cradled wood panel.  I live in a small town and I love the feel of community there.  If someone has a need, the whole community comes together to help them out.  I sought to communicate that idea in this piece by cramming all the buildings close together and on top of each other. Tight knit neighbors making up the community.  It is currently hanging at Tessera Fine Art Gallery in Wichita.

Did you know signed and numbered prints of your choice are now available in my etsy shop?  Simply place the order and then let me know the name of the artwork you want in the comments section.

I love it! I even recognize some of the buildings… I see the old city bldg, the Church of Christ bldg, I must keep looking! Very cool!

I kept this one fairly generic small town… and actually combined buildings from several places, but I do have plans to do more specific towns!

Well that’s perfect, because I wanted it to feel like everyone’s home town!
