These encaustic beetles are one of the funnest projects that I have done. They involve paint, papers, and fabric all covered with wax, amber shellac, and a little fire! I am excited about bringing this project to Dillon Nature Center in Hutchinson on February 6 for a fun filled evening workshop. These beetles (or critter of your choice) will be created on a 6 x 8 inch wood panel. We will learn the basics of encaustic at its funnest.
