“Where flowers bloom, so does hope.”
Lady Bird Johnson
Though it has felt like a return to winter here in central Kansas, I am trusting that spring weather is just around the corner. That is probably why I have been making so many flowers lately, lots and lots of paper and paint flowers!
I have been inspired by several flowery artists… Pam Garrison, Carrie Schmitt and Wendy Brightbill to name just a few. Add to that my love of Andrea d’Aquino’s collage work and the combined influence has turned into these wonky collage and paint flowers. I have a batch of these at Tessera Fine Art Gallery, and I will be taking a similar batch to the Workroom’s Artisan Market on April 14. Look for my booth!
