June is off and running, ready or not! I delivered art on Monday to 1st National Bank in Hutchinson where it will be displayed on their HUGE lobby wall. In preparation I have made some larger than ordinary pieces, like this 48 inch wide piece that would be perfect above a couch.
I will be posting about all my new pieces coming up soon!
Also this week, I am teaching my 4 day Explorations in Mixed Media workshop at Tessera Fine Art Gallery. I am looking forward to immersing in 4 days of art making! June is also the beginning of a summer of house projects. My daughter Abby will just be living here a few more weeks, and I am taking full advantage of her help getting our new porch/sunroom floor painted. After we succesfully finish the project, I will tell you all about the supplies and techniques we used to stencil on the cement floor.
I have also begun sketches of artwork I plan to do for the Bibs and Forks show at City Arts later this summer and am getting excited to start on those pieces! I am also super pumped about another 4 day workshop coming up in September where we will make and complete an art journal. I will be sharing how to work efficiently in small segments of time, techniques I use to fill my own art journals, writing prompts, and more… I can’t wait!
In the meantime, I have lots of new single session workshops coming up as well, beginning with my 2 session CitraSolv workshop on June 16. Take a look at my YouTube video trailer to see what it is all about!
